Just a quick note to say a HUGE thank you to Allen in Service for his assistance this past weekend. On Friday, during my morning commute, my 2006 Street Bob started to misfire and the Check Engine light came on. After letting the bike cool, I was able to start it and ride it to work without further incident. Since I had just refueled that morning, I suspected I had a sediment clog in an injector or the fuel line, that had cleared itself. On the ride home, the same thing happened. I was able to "nurse" the bike to Van Nuys HD, where Allen did a quick inspection. He was able to get the bike repaired (It turned out being worn injector wiring, plus I also was due for a new front tire) and returned to me on Saturday. Plus, he alerted me to the Extended Warranty and Factory Recall status on my bike. Allen was ABSOLUTELY thorough, knowledgeable, reassuring and genuinely personable in a time of uncertainty with the condition of my bike. Here is the REALLY cool thing: He could have turned me away, because this was your last weekend in Van Nuys (I was the last service customer at Van Nuys!) So, I believe this is a perfect testimony to your commitment to your customers and the competence of your staff in your time at Van Nuys, that will obviously carry over to Santa Clarita! "This is a great dealership. Mario in parts is a big help and knows the bikes. Dean in sales is just a great guy to hang out with or buy a bike from. Dean leads rides from the dealership on Sundays and it's that kind of involvement that makes it easy to have a relationship with your dealer and get questions answered and ideas about fixing up your bike or trying out a new bike. Alan, the service manager, has a lot of experience and can deal with maintenance issues in his sleep but really shines when it comes to trickin that motor out or customizing that bike to make it shine.
I have built my 06 wideglide and chromed it out tip to stern and I have also had my Ultra Classic's motor built, all by the guys at Van Nuys Harley Davidson who work as a team to make sure the end product realizes your dream!

"I just want to say that I really appreciate the service and "homie" feeling of Van Nuys HD. I had purchased a 2001 XL1200 from a private party and I figured it was time to get a larger HD because it's my primary means of transportation. I called several HD dealers, some where closed until the Jan. 2nd, others didn't take used HD's ( Duh!). I spoke to Bryan over the phone and he made me feel extremely comfortable while talking. I told him I had credit issues, but he said it wasn't an issue, we could try anyway. When I finally met him he was cordial and a very pleasant individual. We found a used bike I like and we went and did the paperwork (I was sure there was no way I was going to get financed.)I had a few things I had to find like proof of employment, etc. To my surprise I was approved for more than I expected. I'd just like to say thanx to all the guys at Van Nuys HD for being such a good group of guys and making the buying experience such a pleasure."

"On Sept.29 my buddy& myself with our wives came down to the sale. Us on our bikes and the girls in the car. The girls had to park up the block as they were walking down the alley my wife tripped and fell. She broke her elbow. This letter is not to complaine but to give a heartfelt thanks to some harley brothers and your employe Trae Mac Donald. The brothers stayed with my wife until we got her in the car to go to the emergency room. Trae let us know he was an EMT and took care of my wife by making a make shift splint. "I live just around the corner from the Van Nuys dealership so it made sense that I start shopping there when I was ready to buy a new motorcycle. I had never been to a Harley dealership before or owned a Harley for that matter, but I was immediately impressed by the sales people, the product quality, and the "up front" pricing. The entire sales team made me feel like a family member and the product qulaity was extraordinary. A Harley Davidson seemed to me a real value for the money but to be fair and open-minded I then visited several metric dealerships. Thoroughly unimpressed with the metric offerings and their apathetic sales people, I returned to HD that same day and purchased a new XL1200 Low. I was so impressed that I urged my son to go in and check it out, a few weeks later he also purchased an XL1200 Low. A month after that I also purchased (dare I say "stole?") a pre-owned bike from them, and now plan to purchase my "dream bike" through Van Nuys HD as well.
I have been to other HD dealership since them, but have yet to find such a great bunch of people under one roof... I know it sounds cliche, but it's true. Come December I will be sad to see them move but I would gladly travel a little farther past other dealerships to continue doing business with them.
Oh yeah, and the free coffee is an added bonus"

"I have purchased two Harley's from Van Nuys Harley in the past four years and have received the very best in personal treatment.
Owner Mike Moffett personally showed me the various bikes and their features the first time i went to his shop. He answered all my questions. I was quite impressed.
At no time was there ever any pressure to buy, nor was there any of that smooth coercive sales jargon. I was leery about which bike to choose. I had owned a Sportster before but it felt too small for both my wife and I to ride very far. Mike asked a lot of qusstions about what I wanted to get out of a new bike, and through our dialogue I was able to figure out which bike would suit me best--an Ultra-Glide Classic. We ordered the one I wanted and Mike delivered it the day after it came in.
A year later I returned to see Mike and told him the Ultra-Glide was too big for me and I wasn't enjoying it. It was too heavy for around town. I was not the long distance rider I thought I'd be. Mike suggested trading it in for a smaller but just as powerful Dyna Super-Glide. That's what i did.
No hassles at all.
The friendly customer service people had my old bike--with all of three-thousand miles on it--exchanged for the new bike in about 45 minutes total time. I rode it home that afternoon.
Now I've got three thousand miles on the new bike and I couldn't be happier with it. It's just the right fit for my wife and I to do the local rides we like to the mountains and beaches.
Recently, I needed to have some service done on it, but the weather was bad and winter was coming, plus I live about 100 miles away from the dealership. Mike offered to pick the bike up in his trailer when he was next in the area, take it in for service, and then return it when he again was out my way.
Never have I had such quality personal service as that.
I recommend Van Nuys Harley Davidson whole-heartedly. I wish I could say the same about the dealership three miles from my house. I refuse to go there anymore after the neglectful treatment my wife and I got the few times we tried to do business there. It's far more enjoyable to drive 100 miles to do business with Mike Moffett."

"I recently brought my Heritage Softail to your service dept. for a 7500 mile service and to address a few other concerns I was having with the bike.
I had previously had the bike serviced at another dealer, but still had issues.
Since Garo has come to your dealership , my husband and I have followed him over.

The guys there are very Knowledgeable, personable and they know their bikes!
